Resolutions

For the past 27 years I have been in existence I have not made a New Years Resolution that I can remember. There are a couple of reasons that I have not... First, I have never really thought that hard about it, and Second, I have always viewed "resolutions" as superficial things that people give up quickly so why make one?
This changed about 2 weeks ago while sitting around the table at Palominos, when a staffing manager asked "So what are everyone 's New Years resolutions?" I was taken aback as I had never thought about it, but quickly needed to come up with something. While the others were sharing I listened to what they had to say and quickly formulated my own thoughts on the subject.
I shared that I wanted to get into a fitness plan involving weights and aerobics, I had done these in the past and had never stuck with them (they were not resolutions either but feelings). This was a great resolution as I have been wanting to loose some weight, and get toned for the past few years. Then I shared that I would like to get more organized in my personal life. Getting more organized here would include: setting priorities such as my personal relationship with God, my husband and others, and that I would like to organize all the clutter in my house so there is a "official" place for everything.
While I quickly came up with these ideas I have not forgotten them and am now thinking about them this week. I have decided that I will start my fitness resolution tomorrow morning 1.13.2009, and will get up a whole hour earlier to begin my routine (this would put my wake up at 6am). My plan so far is to jog for 25 minutes with a 5 minute warm up and warm down, and then come home and work out my lower body then stretch. On the off days I plan to work out my upper body so I can get rid of these flabby arms.
I have not come up with a plan for the organization of my personal life, but am sure with the increased blood flow to my brain during my jog tomorrow morning some bright ideas will "pop" up.
