Spencer Island

We have lived in Everett for almost 2 years now and just discovered Spencer Island a few weeks ago. Spencer island is a nature reserve right in Everett! You follow a trail along the riverfront park to the Spencer Island bridge and then you can walk for miles around the island itself (it was man made).

Me on the way out to the island. If we had been fast enough we could have gotten a picture of a hawk flying away from the water with a fish... alas, we are too slow.

The Spencer Island bridge, complete with a gnome on the top.

I totally felt like I was Tom Sawyer looking out at these ships through this clearing.

My honey likes to eat grass. He asked me "didn't you do this when you were a kid too?" my response "no way!"

A lot to look at.

I've got to get a good look too!

We saw river otter! Quick little buggers. We saw him run, swim, and then dart into the hole where another otter quickly popped his head out to take a peek.

Creative picture taking of abandoned boats.

What trek would be complete without a pic of the two of us.
