Making T-Shirts

<- The Silk Screen Machine

Last Tuesday, night a team of 4 of us band groupies pulled together to get the t-shirts done before the concert on Saturday night. We started around 8pm and finished by 1:30 am.

We had 4 jobs, I put the t-shirts on the board to be stamped, my honey stamped them, T pulled them off and folded them after they were stamped and J flash dried them.

When you are doing the same type of tasks over and over again very late at night you find ways to entertain yourself and others. I entertained myself and the others very well as I did crazy dances and sang along to "The Traveling Willburys," "The Napoleon Dynamite Soundtrack," "Twisted Sister," and "Billy Idol." Great tunes to get goofy to. T joined in on my singing and dancing fun.

I must say that J did a great job setting up the screening process as he made his own silk screens, built rooms in the basement to work in, and taught us all how to do our tasks. He made beautiful silk screens for us to use.

Every once in a while I would accidentally not have the shirt quite right on the board and the print would come out a little lower than planned. J got pretty irritated at my honey and I for this... What is funny about it is he burned or smudged at least 5 shirts finishing them up.

In the end, the shirts came out beautiful and were worth the effort when we made it to the concert on Saturday.

Hey, Sarah--happy blogging! Very fun reading... The shirts look awesome (esp like the black with the blue & white logo), and the pink "kitty wig" is stylin'! Love ya! ~Keira :o)
